Abstract

The article explores five seasons of the Wire, a dramatic television series, which focused several problems including law enforcement failure, poor education for impoverished children, and corrupt city government in Baltimore, Maryland. It mentions that the Wire reflects inequality status in the U.S. and examines the U.S. Supreme Court decision in San Antonio Independent School District v. Rodriguez dealing with the Fourteenth Amendment's Equal Protection Clause providing public services.
