Abstract

The article describes different materials used to manufacture a laptop. In the screen display, light-emitting diodes (LEDs) contain small amounts of arsenic and gallium sealed in hard plastics. Copper is utilized to route electricity from power sources to other components. Silicon is the main material used for chips and random access memory (RAM). Boron and phosphorus improve the performance of the motherboard. The casing is made out of metals, including steel and aluminum, and plastics.
