Abstract

The article examines the state of capital markets activity in Canada in 2012. Statistics are reported on Canadian debt deals, particularly the domestic high-yield sector. The benefits of issuing corporate bonds domestically for non-investment grade companies are identified. The outlook for 2013 is discussed.
