Abstract
- `Camaraderie and stimulation' and `a base for shared anxiety and support' are phrases used repeatedly by 1,987 participants to describe the Carlisle Project, the unusual laboratory for dancers and choreographers that presented its annual showcase in Philadelphia's Painted Bride Art Center in August. Barbara Weisberger launched her visionary scheme in 1985, and its focus is on the creative artist whose needs are largely unmet by professional companies.
