Abstract

The article offers the author's insights on the role of sacred feasting in the culture of ancient people in the Iron Age II in Tel Dan, Israel. He argued distinct deposits of animal bone, ceramic, and archival materials in Tel Don are the remains of sacred feasts. He states that the correspondence between Tel Don's archaeology and biblical texts regarding priestly consumptions within the precinct do not demand Yahwistic practice of culture feasts.
