Abstract

Some micro-Doppler features of ballistic missile precession with frequency-stepped chirp signal (FSCS) were analyzed theoretically. Combined with compressed sensing (CS) theory, a new method of micro-Doppler spectrum reconstruction method based on sparse FSCS was proposed. The spectrum information can be reconstructed exactly, in obviously reduced sub-pulses of FSCS, and the side-lobes of spectrum can be effectively suppressed. Furthermore, aimed at the reconstructed spectrum, a new extraction method for micro-Doppler features of ballistic missile precession was proposed on the basis of dynamic planning, by using the smooth character of micro-Doppler curves. The effectiveness and robustness of the method was validated numerically. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
