Abstract
- Mixture models have recently received a considerable attention of the analysts. These can be regarded as finite mixture of various components of the distributions, each component describing the different causes of failure. This paper considers the Bayesian analysis of the two-component mixture of Topp Leone distribution based on type I censored samples. The statistical properties of point and interval estimators have been discussed under a class of priors using four loss functions. As some of the results are not in closed form, we have used the iterative methods to obtain the numerical results. The performance of different point and interval estimators has been compared under an extensive simulation study. The applicability of the results has been illustrated by a real life example.
