Abstract: The article discusses the California firm Bigge Crane and Rigging and its role as the supplier of heavy equipment such as a Demag-manufactured AC-500 hydraulic truck crane for a construction project which will reportedly connect the Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) system with an airport in Oakland, California. A Specialized Carriers & Rigging Association conference, which was held in Scottsdale, Arizona in April 2013, is mentioned.
