Abstract
- The article examines the discourse over eugenic abortion. It discusses the attractive features of non-invasive prenatal testing (NIPT) and provides understanding of the cultural, legal and political changes that are driving demand for NIPT. Poll results showed the public's concern that NIPT will foster discrimination against people with disabilities and that women will be bullied into undergoing the test. Evidence suggests the implications of eugenic abortion for the living disabled.
