Abstract

The article offers news briefs in the U.S. in 2013. It reports on the campaign of James Christian from Virginia to raise $250,000 for the construction of a monument honoring the 54th and 63rd Virginia Infantry regiment members who served in the Confederate Army of Tennessee during the Battle of Chikamauga in 1863. The 26th Regiment North Carolina Troops helps in the Confederate flags conservation at the North Carolina Museum of History.
