KONUTLARDA ENERJİ VERİMLİLİĞİ.

As it is known fossil fuels, most important energy sources are depleting swiftly. Greenhouse gases produced during energy production and consumption processes, is the most important reason of global warming and climate changes. Moreover, 70 percent foreign-dependence of energy sources of our country poses appreciable risks. In this study firstly, electricity consumption and its cost is calculated when standard household appliances are used. After that, in order to decrease the amount of energy consumed highly efficient household appliances are used and electricity consumption and its cost is calculated again. Finally, same calculations are carried out with time-of-use pricing. As a result, electricity consumption costs decreased about 35 percent when highly efficient household appliances are used. This decrease adds up to 50 percent at time-of-use pricing. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
