Abstract
- The article offers news briefs on the leading developments in the engineering and mining industry in the U.S. in 2013. Barrick, Anglo American, and Kinross have recorded impairment in assets exceeding $3 billion for their 2012 financial report. Silver Wheaton has acquired 25% of Vale's life-of-mine by-product gold production. Coeur d'Alene Mines plans to acquire the transaction of Orko Silver after having an agreement on February 20, 2013.
