Abstract: Information about several topics discussed at a symposium held on 27 November, 2012 by the International Task Force for Disease Eradication (ITFDE) on the potential eradicability of yaws is presented. Topics include the World Health Organization (WHO) efforts in combating yaws, revised strategy for yaws eradication, and seeking a donation of azithromycin for yaws eradication. The symposium featured several WHO representatives including Dr. Kingsley Asiedu, Dr. Ron Ballard, and Dr. Jean Jannin.
