Abstract

The article presents a study that examined the changes in T-type calcium (T-type Ca2+) channel in rats with spinal nerve injuries using painful behavior assessment, whole-cell patch clamp recordings, and polymerase chain reaction (PCR) analysis. The researchers determined whether changes in T-type Ca2+ occur in dorsal root ganglion (DRG) neurons from nerve injury. Results showed that changes in T-type Ca2+ occurred in DRG neurons after spinal nerve injury.
