Abstract
- An essay is presented which offers the author's insights on the poem "Paradise Lost" by John Milton in which he argued that the encounter between archangel Michael and Adam draws attention to a gap between the biblical word and Bible representation. The author says that the gap presents Milton with a chance to portray an interpretive process from the internal perspective of the poem. It adds that Milton engages and emphasizes the poem's prophetic creativity.
