The article discusses a report from the Soil Association which emphasized the need to stop the increasing number of producers quitting the organic market to prevent future organic supply shortages in Great Britain. It reveals that the number of organic producers in the country has declined by 5 percent to 6,929 in 2012. The narrowing gap between conventional and organic farm-gate prices is considered.
