Abstract: The article reports that there was strong demand for best quality heifers at Western Holstein Club's Focus Milk sale held at Beeston Castle in Cheshire, England. There were buyers for most of the 71 entries at the event. The average sale price of calved heifers was £1,939. According to Wright Manley auctioneer Clive Norbury, trade for second quality heifers was more selective than the best heifers.
