Influence of the sensor shape on permalloy/Cu/permalloy magnetoimpedance

Abstract: The magneto-impedance effect has been studied in Permalloy (3 μm)/Cu (1 μm)/Permalloy (3 μm) sandwiches of different shapes obtained by sputtering. Results show the importance of sensor geometry in the magneto-impedance ratio. Values of magneto-impedance ratio measured at a frequency of 80 MHz vary between 25% and 140% depending on the sensor shape. [Copyright &y& Elsevier]
