Abstract
- The article explores the Mayan civilization in Belize and Guatemala. The Mayan civilization flourished between 1500 B.C. to 1521 A.D. and then ceased. The Mayan civilization is considered to be advanced, as it has a written language and has astronomical literacy. According to the author, modern-day Mayans seems to have no idea why they are living in the village instead of the jungle.
