TRAPPED IN LEGAL DISCOURSE: TRANSRACIAL ADOPTION IN THE UNITED STATES AND ENGLAND.

The article presents a comparison of laws in the U.S. and England that govern transracial adoption of children from the state child care system. It explores the critical race theory and autopoetic theory to prove that transracial adoption law is about satisfying the desires of potential adoptive parents. It discusses the role of legal scholarship in solving racial inequalities and the use of colour-blind method. It also analyzes why the American adoption law status is confusing.
