Abstract
- The article discusses the impact of extensive flooding on the farm of Guy Poskitt in East Yorkshire, England. Poskitt, who was 2012 Farmers Weekly Farmer of the Year, describes failures of crops such as sugar beets, carrots, and wheat due to floods. Lack of dredging of the river Aire and continuous heavy rainfall are mentioned as major contributors to the flooding problem. Poskitt's criticism of the British Environment Agency for failing to maintain watercourses is also cited.
