Abstract: The article presents the highlights of the 2013 Quality Meat Scotland Research and Development Conference that was held in Dundee, Scotland. In his lecture, Nick Jonsson of the University of Glasgow said that there could be positive cases of cryptosporidiosis in every farm in Great Britain. He claims that farmers should focus on management systems to prevent diarrhoea in calves rather than looking for drugs that could be used to control the disease.
