- The article reports that Governor Masaaki Shirakawa has announced he will relinquish his post at the Bank of Japan in April, 2013, and speculates on possible succors including Toshiro Muto of the Daiwa Institute of Research, Haruhiko Kuroda of the Asian Development Bank, and Kazumasa Iwata of the Japan Center for Economic Research.
