25 years after the implementation of the first integral conservation contracts in the State Roadways Network, and in the current economic context, we analyse their efficiency in achieving the suitable optimisation of public resources and the continuity of an experience that has permitted offering the citizens a satisfactory level of service. The definition of this new model, in collaboration with the sector, will represent a reduction in the number of sectors to be conserved and greater flexibility in the allocation of personnel and material means, and its application will represent a reduction of between 27 and 30% in the contract bidding budgets [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
