Interior World of the White Queen.

A biography is presented of English interior designer Syrie Maugham. She was born Gwendoline Maud Syrie Barnardo in East London, England in 1879. She met and married American pharmacist and businessman Henry Wellcome in 1901. She had a romantic liaison with retailer Harry Gordon Selfridge and married English author Willie Somerset Maugham after her divorce from Wellcome. She was noted for her extensive use of white in her designs and her active social life. She died in 1955.
