Abstract

The author discusses the postcolonial and francophone literature in Canada. He explores the critical debate that surrounds both studies in the country and their agreement on the importance of literature for cross-cultural dialogue. The author also recognizes the important role played by art in the country's culture since it reminds the people about their national solidarity and cross-cultural understanding despite their subdivision in terms of language and history.
