The link between great earthquakes and the subduction of oceanic fracture zones.

The article presents a study which investigates the impact of seamount subduction and aseismic ridge on the overriding plate deformation, and seismic coupling and earthquake rupture behavior in various localities. The study used a computational recommendation technology, an information filtering system technique, and the Internet. Results show that smaller volcanic chains and ridges observed to have fragile heterogeneous internal structure.
