Abstract

The article reports the results of surveys conducted by the author which focuses on the characterizations of various water-bird and land-bird species in different parts of Killin Wetlands in Portland, Oregon. It further briefs about the habitats, breeding status, migratory status and conservation status of various species of birds. It also briefs about the vulnerable and critical populations of birds in this area. It further suggests that the author was able to characterize seventy five species within a span of three years. The author further emphasized on the need of conducting surveys in order to gain better understanding of the composition and abundance of birds that are breeding in this area.
