Abstract
- An essay is presented on Osugi Sakae's philosophy of the labor movement in Japan. It offers a history of tradition and paves the way for a project aimed to reveal the fundamental ground for the cultivation of criticism. The author also refers to economist Uno Kozo and the philosopher Tosaka Jun in relation to Osugi in his discussions on biopolitics, Japanese ideology, historicity, the memory of battlefield, the presentiment of violence, and active joy.
