Abstract
- We present results on the radiative and neutrino signatures of the one-zone hadronic model. Assuming that protons are injected at a certain rate in a homogeneous spherical volume containing a magnetic field, the evolution of the system can be described by five coupled kinetic equations, for protons, electrons, photons, neutrons and neutrinos, respectively. Photopair and photopion interactions are modelled in detail using the results of Monte-Carlo simulations, and in particular the SOPHIA code for the latter. This self-consistent approach allows us to explore the temporal behaviour of hadronic systems and to simultaneously resolve the resulting photon and neutrino spectra. In the present treatment we focus on the case where protons are accelerated to power-law distributions. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
