Abstract
- The article focuses on the top orthopaedic issues of 2012 in the U.S. It says that metal-on-metal (MoM) total hip implants and the decision of the U.S. Supreme Court upholding the healthcare reform of U.S. President Barack Obama were considered the most interesting stories of the year. It adds that quality-related topics that can change orthopaedic practices were also included such as electronic health records (EHRs) and the American Joint Replacement Registry (AJRR) expansion.
