Abstract

The article discusses studies on the use of chromosomal microarray in prenatal and reproductive genetics. The studies illustrate the diagnostic potential and advantages of microarray and sequencing technology, as well as its clinical diagnosis, counseling and management challenges. One of the studies compared chromosomal microarray and standard karyotyping in women undergoing prenatal diagnosis. The other study focused on single-nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) oligonucleotide microarray analysis.
