Abstract

The article discusses issues related to the legal status and protection of sculptures located in public spaces in Great Britain. Particular focus is paid to the November 2012 decision by the London, England borough of Tower Hamlets to sell the sculpture "Draped Seated Woman" by the British artist Henry Moore. Cases involving the sculptures "Desert Quartet," by Elisabeth Frink, and the sculptures "Endangered Species Triptych," by the British artist Barry Baldwin, are also discussed.
