Abstract
- The article discusses the roles of democracy and disdain in the decisions of the U.S. Supreme Court during its 2011 term, including an analysis of the court's rulings in cases such as Northwest Austin Municipal Utility District No. One v. Holder, Arizona v. United States, and National Federation of Independent Business v. Sebelius. The nation's Patient Protection & Affordable Care Act is addressed, along with a historical overview of the court under Chief Justice Earl Warren.
