The article analyzes the contexts of Christian poetry of Charles Heavysege. It discusses the contexts that expose the failure of the Canadian literary criticism to recognize and assign value to the evangelical religiosity in the poetry of Heavysege. The representation of the working class in the work of Heavysege is also analyzed.
