STRATEGIC ASSUMPTIONS OF WASTE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM.

This paper aims to highlight the concerns about the waste management and at the same time highlighting its regional peculiarities. Municipal waste management methods in use today are related both to the waste that are being generated and collected, as well as waste that are generated and then collected. Collected waste are waste that are being generated and then collected by the sanitation services. Waste uncollected is waste generated but not collected by sanitation services. The methods that are used, such as statistical analysis, comparative studies, historical method, allowed the authors to comprehends the evolution of this phenomenon. This paper is a systematic investigation of this phenomenon based on waste generation, collection and transport of them to their reuse and treatment. The analysis made in the region of Galati in Romania revealed that waste generation is influenced by several factors such as those tied to the region population trends or changes in the economy and the of consumer demand nature, changes in production technology. The data analyzed led to the identification of a clear trend of municipal waste generated annually. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
