The desired future state of sustainability implies a paradigm shift in the way we live, work and play. Besides constructed quality and environmental quality, the quality of facilities in buildings has influential to the living quality of numerous occupants there. The functional quality of the facilities, in turn, is dependent on the quality of their operation and management. Since the birth of the sustainable development concept and its application to urban planning and construction projects, countless sustainability indicator sets have appeared.
