Abstract

The article discusses the legality of undocumented immigrants being foster parents in the U.S. and mentions that if a foster home applicant is deported or gets entangled with immigration authorities, his or her placement will be discontinued and the child will get a new placement. According to a joined report by Florence Immigrant and Refugee Rights Project, immigration custody of a parent may lead to family separation and even termination of parental rights.
