The article focuses on research regarding the insertion of immigrant labor into the Spanish labor market and the resulting economic conditions of the country and both Spanish and immigrant workers. Topics including labor assimilation, labor mobility and cultural and economic distance are covered in the course of the study, as the authors explore the gaps between the pay and social status of Spanish laborers and their immigrant counterparts.
