Abstract: This section offers news briefs related to information science in Africa. The new editorial board for the "African Journal of Library, Archives and Information Science" has been constituted with effect from January 1, 2013. The first set of students at the Department of Library and Information Science at the University of Ilorin, Nigeria has graduated. The 3rd International Conference on African Digital Libraries and Archives will be held at Al Akhawayn University in Ifrane, Morocco.
