- Reports that administers are clamping down on student newspapers for controversial stories and embarrassing typos. Student-newspaper advisers as taking the blame for allowing student to publish investigative stories or editorials that paint the college in a negative light; The case of Garret L. Boatman, newspaper adviser at Essex County College in new Jersey, who lost his job; Others who lost jobs; The court's protection of students' free-press rights as causing officials to find other ways to silence them.
