Abstract

The article discusses a community-based participatory research (CBPR) study on sexual health practices among lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, queer, and questioning (LGBTQ) young people with intellectual disabilities in Toronto. Managing the risk of coercion, consent to participate in the study, and issues of confidentiality were identified as some of the ethical concerns. It was noted that incorporating disability perspectives into CBPR practices can promote sexual health initiatives.
