Abstract
- The article reports on the findings of a study on the risk of transmission of anaplasma phagocytophilum in feral goats in Northern Ireland. It cites the risk of transmission posed by feral ungulates as reservoirs of vectorborne pathogens to wild and domestic species as well as human beings. It notes the implications of the presence of A phagocytophilum in feral goat populations that inhabited forestry plantations used for recreation and for pasture.
