Abstract

The article presents a case study of a 13-year-old intact male febrile dog with progressive inability to jump, short-stride gait and pain after extension. It mentions that the radiographic examination conducted to the dog demonstrated heavy pattern of spondylosis deformans and sclerotic vertebral endplates of the vertebrae. It says that Erysipelothrix rhusiopathiae was identified after the 16S rDNA polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test.
