Abstract
- The article reports on a nearly two billion dollar project which is being developed in 2012 by the New Mexican merchant transmission company Tres Amigas LLC in an effort to interconnect the three main power grids in the U.S. A discussion of the objectives of the project, which is expected to expand investment opportunities in renewable energy, is presented.
