Türkiye'de Sigortacılık Sektörünün Etkinlik Analizi.

In this study, it is investigated that the technical efficiency scores of the firms, which operated in the non-life insurance sector between 2008 and 2010. In this study, Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) Model is applied in order to determine the technical efficiency scores of the firms. This study covers 28 firms, which were operating in the non-life insurance sector. The efficient firms, the inefficient firms and the average efficiency level are determined. Also, the amounts of changes, which the inefficient firms should make in their input and output levels to be effective, are estimated. The findings show that the average efficiency level in the non-life insurance sector increased in 2009 when compared to 2008 and it decreased in 2010 when compared to 2009. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
