Abstract

The article discusses the factors which restrict the growth of the paperless office in Australia. It states that Australian consumption of cut reams of A4 paper has grown from 228,000 tonnes in 2002 to 251,000 tonnes in 2007 before dropping. According to Rob Bryant, sales manager at QA Software, the popularity of computer tablets make people more willing to skip paper and work solely on a virtual document.
