Abstract

The article reports on research which was conducted to investigate the effect four weeks of plyometric training had on reactive strength index and leg stiffness in male youths. Researchers evaluated 129 boys who were either nine, 12 or 15 years of age. They found that improvements in reactive strength index and leg stiffness after a plyometric training program were age dependent during childhood.
