Abstract: The article discusses euthanasia methods carried out on an adult southern right whale, Eubalaena australis, stranded in Brazil. It has been informed that the whale was first anesthetized with a mixture of xylazine and ketamine and then about after 40 minutes, an incision was made into the blubber layer, and the needle was inserted intercostally into the right side of the animal's body.
