Abstract
- The article discusses and presents the document the "Case of Henry Sacheverell," by Charles Burd, likely compiled in 1711, concerning the 1710 impeachment trial of English High Church clergyman and politician Henry Sacheverell following his delivery of controversial sermons. The work is held by the Harvard University Law Library in Cambridge, Massachusetts and features satires and an original drawing. Whig and tory perspectives on the trial are considered.
